Ode to my Olivia!

We are on day number 7 of potty training! Not only am I so very happy, but I am beyond proud! Literally, 100% of the credit goes to Olivia! Excluding praise and encouragement that Chase and I have given, this victory is all hers! She made the decision to say so long to diapers, and she has stuck by it! Determined little thing! This photo is of her on her first day of potty training!

She seems to like blowing me away

these days, because potty training wasn't the only impressive thing she has done lately. Often when I am cleaning the kitchen, we will have "table time", which is any activity they can do sitting at their table. Chase always chooses puzzles. Olivia usually chooses books or other toys. Well the other day, I called them over, and just put a bunch of puzzles on the table. I walked out and Chase was working on his, and helping Olivia with hers too. When I came out again Chase was working on another one, and I saw that Olivia had put two pieces together. I was kind of surprised as she had only ever done the letter or number puzzles for toddlers, and never an actual puzzle. So I kept peaking in, and watched as she put the entire puzzle together. I was so shocked, and so proud that I ran and grabbed my camera to get a picture!

I always think of her as my baby, but I think she wants us all to know she is a big girl now!

Beach Party!

Well, not exactly...

I bought Olivia a new swimming suit, and had her try it on today. The next thing I know, Chase had his on also. And they were requesting we have a Beach-Picnic-Dinner. Which sounded like a fabulous idea to me! :)

Only a couple more months, and we can put this outside! :)

The 2012 Leap Year Blizzard

This was definitely my favorite blizzard to date! Although to be honest, the only other one I really remember was the Halloween Blizzard. And that was also a great memory! But this one involves my kids, so it takes the cake. :)

I never thought I'd say this, but I'm glad we got sooo much snow. It was so much fun for all of us to place in. Chase loves it the most of course. Daddy concentrated on building our snowmen, and the rest of us got a little distracted.





Olivia was eating the snow the entire time we were out there. It was so cute. It was exactly how you'd picture a sweet, little girl in the snow. And Chase was helping Daddy of course! But he was also running and sliding down our hill, making snow angels, and just literally playing in the snow. He loved it! I kind of ran around doing the mom thing, which means a little bit of everything. I helped Dad build a little, then I went and looked for the perfect accesories for our snowmen; I took little gloves off and put them back on more than I can remember, I took pictures, I took a video. I played my role. Haha.





This day was as fun as it looks, and it was the best day of winter yet! It may have even been the best day of 2012 yet. :)

Between about November and now I have written A LOT of blogs. No really, let me finish. Actually let me correct... I have STARTED a lot of blogs. And tonight, I am making it my goal to post ALL of them! that's right. granted, if you are reading this, you know me, and you know they are mostly photo blogs. still. i could let them go, but i don't want to. every blog i "started" was started because it was something that made me happy, or that i wanted to share. and every one of them was about something i don't want to forget. so i will write it in ink, here on the internet. :)

A little help?

Yes, I am asking for some help in this blogger world I'm kinda in. And I'll admit, help I have asked for on this site before has falling on deaf ears. Though it was nothing big... just asking how to personalize my blog header, or how to make the little icon, or just how to do the little tricks I see people doing. Granted, I know, some of these requests are not small, ten minute jobs. So I'm only mildly offended no one has cheerfully offered up their time and talent. lol.
Butttt this time it's not just for me! Others would have a teeny tiny gain, which we all know sweetens the deal. lol. Soooo I want to know how I can make this blog an invite only thing?
What's in it for you? Brutal honesty. Just kidding. Kinda.
But really, I want to write blogs like I used to, back in the myspace days... from my mind, my heart, etc etc. I loved blogging because it was a journal, except I didn't have to feel alone writing it. And I miss it. And I want it back. I want to write without fear of judgement. I want to know that I have to actually KNOW, and/or trust, whoever is reading my blog.
Sooooo, blogger friends... help a sista out! If you know me at all, you know I'd do it for you! :)
