HaPpY GoLdEn BiRthDay HuBbY!

My husband celebrated his Golden Birthday today! We went out to lunch at his favorite resturant, and then went out for dinner and drinks with friends.
As a gift I got him a bottle of Goldschlager... (the liquor with actual gold flakes in it)! He was surprised, which I loved! I thought he would know it was coming, because what better gift for a Golden Birthday? It was a great day! :)

Christmas Doodles

Today we did some Christmas time art! We used Christmas stamps, stickers, glitter, and the kids' very favorite, PAINT! My kids are in love with Art time, and I love it too, (minus clean up) because I get to see what they come up with. We actually dedicated this Art time to Santa. We painted pictures for him. Chase's painting was adorable. I was so, very, ridiculously proud! He painted these elves, and they were the cutest little guys. It just has me in awe to see him grow through his Art. He used to be this little boy scribbling away, and suddenly he is drawing people... arms, legs, and eyes included! Kind of a big deal! :) I have known for a while that he is creative, and I love it, because I know without a shred of doubt, he got that from me. (PROUD MOMMY!) And he is so in his element when he is doing Art. Just like me. Yep... there's no way I'm turning that painting over to Santa! That one's mine. :)

Cookie Exchange

This is one of my favorite Christmas traditions! I love doing a cookie exchange with friends. I have done a few over the years, but last year my close friends and I decided to make it a tradition!

We all bake a bunch of delicious cookies, exchange them, and make a party of it. We also all bring a wrapped ornament and play the dice game with it. It is so much fun! There is the really cute ornament we all fight for, and the not-so-cute one, we all try to get rid of. Definitely adds a little fun to the day!

We also each bring a dish to share. It's just a lot of fun and a great way to celebrate the Holidays with friends! I love our cookie exchange, and I'm already excited for next year's! :)

The Pumpkin Patch

I love this Holiday! It is possibly my favorite Holiday! There are so many fun ways to celebrate Halloween! Excluding actually dressing up, the pumpkin patch is probably my favorite!

The kids absolutely love it! The corn maze, silly string zone, hay ride, bounce houses, and not to mention picking out their very own pumpkins! And I love seeing all the Halloween spirit! Kids are always dressed in the cutest Halloween outfits for the day!

Speaking of the bounce house, this was Olivia's first time ever being in one. I thought she would cry, but nope, she loved it! Dad bought her a ticket and I had my doubts. She was kind of calm at first, just standing/sitting in her place. But after watching the other kids, she would do her own little toddler jump. It was so cute to see!

It was a great day for us! :)
